Identify the aircraft before using the ACARS. The logon code is personal and free at hoppie.nl/acars; the EFB stores it and will not ask again. The callsign is the ATC one (IBE1836), not the commercial flight number (IB1836) — it is the address the network delivers your messages to.

Weather request
Sent as an information request over the Hoppie network, the same way a real aircraft asks for it. If the network does not answer, the EFB serves the data from its own weather source and says so. The network only accepts one information request every 20 seconds, shared with ATIS.
